Privacy & Terms
Your data stays yours
DayExplore only uses the info you share to create a better plan, then lets it go.
What we collect
We only capture the trip-planning inputs you enter (mood, energy, time, preferred mode) plus a short-lived location fix so we can suggest nearby spots.
- Location data never leaves your device except to fetch nearby recommendations.
- No precise or background tracking—requests are on-demand only.
- We do not create user profiles or sell any data.
How location is used
Your coordinates are transmitted securely to our server, combined with weather + places APIs, and discarded immediately after a suggestion is generated. We do not store raw or derived location info in any database.
If you disable location access, you can still use DayExplore but suggestions will default to broader ideas.
Retention & partners
Conversation snippets are held in volatile memory only to keep the current chat flowing. We rely on OpenAI to process text prompts, and they receive only the conversation necessary to respond.
- No personal identifiers are logged alongside prompts.
- Server logs rotate automatically and omit GPS details.
Apple App Store disclosure
In App Store Connect, DayExplore is classified as collecting no data linked to your identity. For transparency:
- Location: Approximate, single-use, not stored.
- User content: Chat text, ephemeral, used only to answer your current request.
- Diagnostics: Basic crash + latency metrics without device identifiers.
These practices satisfy Apple's privacy nutrition label and help limit liability.
Terms of use
DayExplore offers inspiration, not professional advice. You are responsible for verifying venue hours, safety conditions, and personal suitability.
- Use the app only in jurisdictions where it is legal to do so.
- Activities are suggestions; participation is at your own risk.
- Do not use DayExplore while driving or in any unsafe context.
- The service is intended for users 13 years and older.
- DayExplore and its creators are not liable for any injury, loss, or damages that arise from following suggestions.
Your rights
You may decline any permission request, clear your session data via in-app settings, or email us to remove residual logs. Because we do not maintain user accounts, requests are handled per-device.
